"Truly some of the best Korean food in the greater Philadelphia area. Their kimchi is the best in Philly, hands down."
A bowl of home,
simmered slowly.
뚝배기 (Ddukbaegi) was born from a simple belief: Korean comfort food should taste like home. We opened the doors at 6783 N 5th Street in Philadelphia to share the flavors we grew up with — rich, slow-simmered broths rooted in the traditions of Busan and Seoul.
Every pot of broth at 뚝배기 (Ddukbaegi) tells a story of patience. We simmer our signature 사골육수 (sagol bone broth) for over 30 hours across 4 days, coaxing out every ounce of flavor from carefully selected bones. Our 돼지국밥 (Dwaeji Gukbap) draws from Busan's legendary pork soup tradition, while our 보쌈 (Bossam) and 족발 (Jokbal) are prepared with the same care you'd find at Seoul's best late-night restaurants.
Featured by Craig LaBan in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 뚝배기 (Ddukbaegi) has become a destination for those seeking the deepest, most authentic Korean comfort food in the city. We use no shortcuts — just time, quality ingredients, and love. BYOB welcome.
